CHARLES “CHUCK” MISHOULAM
1958 – 2021

With great sadness, Alert Protective Services says goodbye to its Founder and guiding light, Chuck Mishoulam, who passed away after a brave battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family, and as ever, was optimistic and upbeat to the very end.

A self-made man, in the purest definition of that phrase, Chuck began Alert with a single customer, a Chinese restaurant in the middle of Chicago, and grew the business to over 10,000 accounts across Chicagoland and the Midwest Region.

Along the way, though good times and bad, Alert was built on Chuck’s iron will to succeed. His strength of character gave confidence to everyone he dealt with professionally, and his commitment to integrity gave comfort to his hundreds of employees.

Outside of the office, Chuck loved the outdoors and frequently hiked and fished with his family; he was a sports fan as well, and true to his loyal nature, supported Chicago’s teams even when they were bottom of the league.

Although tough as nails when needed, Chuck was also the embodiment of a gentle giant. He had a warm heart and a quick mind that was called upon by his neighborhood and community time and time again for leadership, guidance, and support.

Our deepest condolences to the love of his life, Linda, the two sons of which he frequently spoke in proud, glowing terms, Zack and Aaron, and Ernie, his trusted companion on many an evening walk.

We may never again see his large frame purposefully stride through the door, or hear his vast wit humorously fill the air, but we will forever carry in our hearts his giant spirit. Rest in peace, dear friend. We miss you.
